Online training course on "use conversion change in modern architecture heritage" - قطب عملی فناوری معماری ceat
Nowadays, a significant part of our cities are shaped by modern and contemporary buildings that are valuable and their preservation requires architectural, creative and at the same time precise approaches, Precious buildings include industrial, residential, office, etc., whose maintenance can have positive aesthetic, cultural, social, environmental and economic effects on the urban landscape. In the meantime, the Adaptive Reuse approach is one of the most important ways to preserve our buildings and cities. Reuse or change of use brings new life to a building instead of trying to contain it in a particular moment or in the past. A land use change project connects the past and present of the building to the future by adding a new layer without removing the previous valuable layers. In land use change, the architect uses a creative approach to mark a new stage in the life of the building.
The online training course " use conversion in modern architecture heritage" is planned to introduce architectural scholars with the features and issues related to change of use in the heritage of modern architecture and reviewing four prominent examples of changes in use, presented by their architects.

Course Description:
This course consists of 8 sessions: the first 4 sessions describe theoretical ground in the field of use conversion and refurbishment in architectural heritage. In the next 4 sessions, four outstanding design and refurbishment projects by architects and their designers, along with their experiences of in dealing with the matter of use conversion will be discussed.
At the end of each program there is a questions and answers session.
Attendance certificate:
Participants of the entire course will be presented with a certificate of participation in this course by Dokomo Iran and CEAT of the University of Tehran which will be issued in English.
